R for SQL Server 2016

Speaker: Michael Chandler, Data Science Consultant

Summary: Microsoft is making a big investment in R, a widely-adopted open source language and software environment for statistical computing. This session will examine the integration of R that will ship with SQL Server 2016 and demonstrate how you can use R as a client tool, in a statistical server farm, or as statistical extension directly in your T-SQL code.

About Michael : Michael is a Data Science consultant currently under contract with Gene By Gene, an internationally recognized genetic testing company and parent company of Family Tree DNA, a DNA-based genealogy company located in Houston, TX. Previously, as Executive Vice President of United Recovery Systems, he led an analytics and software development team that used advanced statistical modelling for predicting consumer credit behavior. Michael has used SQL Server for over 15 years as a developer, DBA, and decision maker.
